Gear Explanation
We're going to be running Greatsword and 1x Kra'gh piece. The Kra'gh piece is in Light so we can get the Penetration from the Light Armor passive of Concentration in addition to the 1x bonus of Kra'gh.
Due to the recent Armor changes, the one piece of Light Armor isn't all that bad on Stamina DPS (if you need the Penetration) as you not only get the Penetration but also Weapon Critical rating.
We are still under the maximum Penetration value by 200 but after testing it's still better than using a Maul and 1x Medium Slimecraw.
If you are in raids, it's more than likely you will be at or over the maximum Penetration value of 18,200. In that case you should simply switch out the Light Kra'gh with a Medium Slimecraw piece.
Note that we have Double DoT poisons slotted on the frontbar weapon (the Two Hander in this case) while the Flame/Poison enchantments are on the Infused backbar weapons. The Flame enchantment outperforms the DPS of Diseased/Foulness enchantment which is why we went with the Flame enchantment.
Pre-Buffing
Ideally before a fight with a raid boss or even with the Raid Dummy you want to take advantage of the down time before the actual fight to pre-buff.
Your prebuff rotation should look like this in order (from top to bottom):
- Activate Twilight Tormentor
- Bound Armaments
- Hurricane
- Greater Storm Atronach (don't damage with the impact of the Storm Atronach)
- Deadly Cloak
- Light Attack then Barbed Trap
Dynamic Rotation
After your pre-buff and you start the fight, you want to start your rotation. Stamina Sorcerer's dynamic rotation isn't as complicated as a couple other classes' but here are the general rules:
- If ending your rotation on the frontbar with Wrecking Blow, Light Attack after the Wrecking Blow before barswapping to your backbar. Do not Light Attack after barswapping, simply use a backbar skill instead.
- Use your Greater Storm Atronach as the Ultimate until execute and then Dawnbreaker after you hit the execute threshold. If your damage is lower, you may want to just use the Atronach all the way through as it is the stronger Ultimate if it can stay up for the whole duration of execute.
- Use Executioner at 32% and under instead of Wrecking Blow.
- Stop using Bound Armaments at around 25%. If the proc falls off before then, only reactivate it if it at or above 40% of the target's Health.
- Last cast of Hurricane should be about 20% of the target's Health.
- Stop casting Barbed Trap if it runs out with less than 8% of the target's Health remaining.
- Stop using Deadly Cloak if the skill runs out at 5% or less of the target's Health.
- Never ever proc either of your pets after you enter combat, they are there for their strong passive damage. Activating either one is a waste of a Global Cooldown (GCD).
Static Rotation
A static rotation simply consists of casting Deadly Cloak, Hurricane then Barbed Trap on the backbar. You will lose a couple seconds of Hurricane and about 1 second of Barbed Trap with a static rotation.
Skill Alternatives
If you dislike double pets there is always the option of using Carve (the new DoT is nice, this skill should be applied with 3x casts first) or Stampede as a DoT.

Champion Points Review
If you are raiding and fighting shielded enemies, replace either Rejuvination (or Celerity if you're using it) with Bastion.
