High Isle's combat updates swung the pendulum of power from Magicka-hybrid to Stamina-hybrid specs in terms of Attribute allocations (64 Magicka to Stamina) and itemization (both sets are Medium armor based) and this includes the Necromancer.

Coral Riptide is a strong contender against Relequen - a set which relies on consistent Light Attacks to maintain its proc stacks - in many scenarios where you may need to change up focus and in some instances for single target even more than Relequen depending on the context of the fight.

With raid compositions focusing on Penetration from sets such as Alkosh it lets us use mostly Medium Armor in raids and on dummy parses.

All Offensive Stats now scale off of your highest stats as of Update 33 and into Update 34. For example, your Offensive Stats can now scale off of Weapon Damage, Max Magicka and Weapon Critical all at the same time as long as each one is the higher of their respective two.

One thing to note for Jewelry Enchantments is that it could be either Spell or Weapon Damage depending on the raid compositions in Trials. If you have a Templar offering Minor Sorcery that boosts Spell Damage, then you will go with Spell Damage. If you don't and naturally have Minor Brutality from a Dragonknight that boosts Weapon Damage, you will go with Weapon Damage.

Potions-wise, it's the same case and will often go towards whichever resource you may need more of. Heroism Potions will certainly be a consideration at least for raids due to Igneous Weapons from a Dragonknight.

Note that a Nirnhoned one-hander weapon must be in the main-hand slot.
